Under his leadership, Ganesh Housing is developing the Million Minds Tech City, a 65-acre IT SEZ along SG Highway in Ahmedabad, with an investment of ₹8,000 crore. In 2025, Shri Shekharbhai G. Patel, MD & CEO of Ganesh Housing Limited, launched his book “Maaru Ahmedabad”—a detailed account of the city’s remarkable journey. The book traces Ahmedabad’s origins from Ashaval in the 11th century, its transition to Karnavati under the Solanki dynasty, and its foundation as Ahmedabad in 1411 by Sultan Ahmad Shah I. It highlights the city’s historic planning, boundary walls, early industries, and the infrastructure that shaped its identity.
What makes this book unique is the way it connects the rich heritage of Ahmedabad with its modern transformation. From architectural landmarks like Bhadra Fort and the city’s UNESCO World Heritage recognition, to industrial growth, western expansion, and world-class infrastructure projects, the book reflects the depth of Shri Patel’s intellect and vision.
