Shri Dipakkumar G Patel was appointed Chairman of Ganesh Housing Corporation Limited on 9 November 2009. Known to industry Leaders as Dipak Patel and Dipakbhai, He is the son of the late Govindbhai C Patel, The doyen of the Indian Real Estate Sector, and had served as a Promoter-Director of the company since 1 October 2002.

Shri Dipak Patel possesses over 25 years of expertise and experience in Construction, Finance and Real Estate Development and holds an undiminished interest in strategic planning, policy formulation and fiscal management. He holds dear the GHCL ethos – Your Smiles are our Real Estate – and believes that building a home is the equivalent of giving new life.

Over the course of his chairmanship, Shri Patel has grown GHCL from a pioneering name in organized housing and construction to a market leader in affordable urban housing with a rapidly expanding presence in the commercial, retail and township segments. On his watch, GHCL administers one of the largest developable real estate platforms in India.

When he is not busy building structures, Shri Patel is busy rebuilding lives. Constantly driving private initiatives for the public good, he has been recognised for his altruism by several institutions, including CREDAI & Lions Club International. Shri Patel is also the founder of Shatayu (from the ancient Indian blessing 'Shatayu Bhavah'), a focused non-profit organization that has been working tirelessly since 2004 to promote Organ Donation. Through Shatayu, Shri Patel has mentored thousands of campaigners across the nation who conduct awareness programs to persuade every Indian to make this Gift of Life.
